hello all. i'm new here and like to pick your brains if you'll let me?
i'm not a big DIYer only occasional use but need a better hammer drill as the one i have, although still works, just doesn't cut the mustered (a 24v challenge extreme (argos own brand)).

yes you've guessed it, i would like the best drill for the lowest price. i've seen 2 that have caught my eye, a Dewalt and a Bosch and both are under a £100. which one should i get though? :?: here are the links.

Dewalt - http://www.diy.com/diy/jsp/bq/nav.j...cationsSpecificProductType=combination_drills

Bosch - http://www.diy.com/diy/jsp/bq/nav.j...cationsSpecificProductType=combination_drills

i'm thinking maybe the bosch due to the battery?

thank you for your time.

forget both, go corded drill. Any battery drill under £300 is fair to poor in masonry. and if you are only going to use it oooccasionely then you need an expensive li-ion battery. you can pick up a seriosly meaty hammer drill with a plug for this price though. use decent drill bits too. dewalt extreme 2 are accurate and last forever.

For occasional use the Green Bosch will be fine it has the Lithium ion batterys that hold there charge when not used for a while. Best avoid the DeWalt they aint what they used to be. To me they feel cheap and plasticy to the old XRP drill i had till the batterys went.
