help please urgent toilet soil

Right below you can see my toilet soil, it has a concrete/clay colar i have asked all my work mates and they say so carefully knock it out but i was thinking could i just cut it at floor hieght and place a pan connecter in there?

Hi.

Yes you can. Make sure it a clean cut. Use a bend pan connector if using a "p" trap pan.

When you have taken the old pan away put an old towel or cloth down the pipe to stop any large bits of ceramic blocking your drains.

I did a job like this at home the other month. I was really worried that the old pipe in the floor might crack lower down so I cut the toilet off at the u-bend then with more room disc-cut the collar to floor level (with rag in the pipe). Also helps as many new toilets will not have room for the bulky collar.
