This job started off a a simple handle replacement. Then I found the turning the handle does not open/close the latch, it's stuck, so now I'm trying to remove the entire window so I can take a better look maybe WD up the latch or something, to get it to open/close.

If you look at the pictures tho, there's no blinking screws like many videos show remove the screws, then remove the window. It's not simple on this one.

What am I missing?

Thanks.

Looks like someone has riveted the hinges to the frame. You should be able to drill the heads off the rivets with a fairly large diameter drill bit. Do you want to keep the window?

Thanks pcaouolte. I want to keep the window and purchased a new handle to put into the window. In fact I thought that would be the end of the mini project, just change a broken handle. I also tried WD-40 on the bit where the latch moves from left to right and into the holes where the handle fits, I then waited for a day, but still jammed, so I need to get the window out intact, look at the problem and try to fix it, and get it back into the window frame. I'm guessing I'm (no screws) screwed, I'll prob have to try and put the handle on and just use it without the lock mechanism.

That's not the worst grouting I have ever seen but it is pretty close second.
Hey there :) not guilty... long story... I'll spare everyone the details, but basically dodgy cowboys, no company, just saw a neighbour used them for something, so we used them.
