Help.. Trying to cover Polycell Damp Seal patches!

Thank you for your comments. We have always used better quality paints in the other rooms, however we just particularly liked the colour of a friend's room, and it happened to be a Wilko's one.. we won't use them in future though. It didn't go on very well!

Anyway.. The original coat was Sunday, and then again Monday lunchtime, and the patches were really obvious. But then we went over the patches last night, and this morning they seem to be just about gone! So it looks like it was just a case of them taking longer to dry.

I have a similar problem to the OP. I had a wall skimmed and mist coated as usual but a stain showed through the paint. I applied some Polycell Damp Seal as i had a tin lurking about. I then applied another coat of white paint but the stain came through. So i went out and got some Ronseal Stain Block which worked. Anyway after applying 3 coats of coloured emulsion the area where i treated with damp seal, is lighter than rest of the finish. So i intend to try the thinned oil based undercoat method but what undercoat do i use? The ones i have looked at for wood and metal.

Sorry i don't mean to hijack the OP's thread but i just wanted to ask a quick question.
