Help with a pressurised system !!

let me start by saying I have a limited knowledge on anything to do with plumbing!

a couple of weeks ago i just happened to poke my head in the airing cupboard and noticed the pressure gauge reading around 3 bar on the red vessel.
I noticed water escaping down the expansion pipe outside the house.

letting off some water simply resulted in it re-pressurising back up to 3 bar and then the flow starting again out the expansion pipe.

conclusion from a number of persons was the feeder pipe that connects to the red vessel was weeping and that water was still flowing in.

today had a very wet ceiling my conclusion was that the water has been spilling out of the funnel and ran down the pipes under the floor.

so finally thought i would get a plumber out to change the feeder hose to the vessel.

after draining down the system.....it simply filled itself back up with out opening the valve.

the plumber finally came to the conclusion after a lot of head scratching....
that the cylinder is knackered and the vessel is being fed by hot water not cold.
the house is 5 yrs old..... we have never had the system serviced
does this sound like a probable cause?

model is a ariston wrc-nsf contract sti 150 indirect protech

the anti corrosion module has corroded! the red warning light is on...

Seems a bit quick to have rotted through, but the symptoms sound like it might be the case.
And by what you say,

the anti corrosion module has corroded! the red warning light is on...

Corrosion is the number one cause of death for heating systems.
A half decent installer should be able to find out one way or the other.
