Hi

I've recently moved into a flat and am having some problems with my bedroom window.

Basically, it opens out onto a communal walkway. When the window opens, there's no way of leaving it ajar - it either has to be fully open or closed. If I leave the window open, then, it's quite easy for someone to climb into the flat from outside.

As the weather's starting to get quite hot here in the UK, I'd like to be able to leave the window ajar at night. To do this, I need to fit some kind of "arm" (I'm not sure of the actual word) to the window and frame.

Does anyone know what kind of "arm" I need? Any recommended products? Can anyone give me any advice on how to fit it?

Please see below for some photos of the window in question. Thanks in advance!
