We have just moved house and there was an existing power shower.

There is a seperate pump which is located on the floor of the cupbaord with the hot water tank in.

The shower keeps going intermittently hot and cold and then sometimes stops.

Originally we thought it might be the pump so we bought a new one and replaced the old, which appeared to be only 2 years old anyway.

This has not really made any difference and we are at a loss as too why it is not working. Can anyone give me any pointers? We have electric heating and hot water if that makes any difference.

Thanks

Either the hot water is too hot - max 60, or the plumbing's wrong. Where does the hw pump input get its water from?

Restrict temp then flow, and see what happens.

COuld be faulty mixer I suppose.

The hot water comes from the pipe that leaves the hot water tank at the top, but it appears to be some way off from the top.
