Help with rendered flower beds

Hi guys

having trouble with drainage / water marks in rendered beds (see attached photos)

will tanking paint on inside walls with some dpm and a solid couple
Of inches of hardcore / gravel at the base suffice and solve issues?

base of beds is just soil (ie no concrete) so understand no need for drill holes to aid drainage...?

Looks like your copings don't have a drip groove. Even garden walls should have a DPC and a DPC under the copings. The mortar to bed copings should contain SBR.

Omit the drip groove, DPC's and SBR; welcome to the world of problems with garden walls.
