I hope they get to the bottom of this soon.

I hope this is the link and then it can be addressed.

Even more of a reason dog owners should be licenced so at least they can be tested to see if they are able to look after themselves never mind the dog. I mean by look after the dog via self or via instructions to servants/carers/etc.

From the link below:
UKHSA officials trawled through questionnaire responses from affected families and found 70 per cent — 64 of 92 respondents — owned a dog or had been exposed to a dog.

NB: That is a very high percentage as only about 20% (may be a lower percentage) own a dog. Where we live, 2 households with a do out of the 45 houses in our close.

Another cobblers post from you as usual. Read the f'king story before presenting it as a possibility. It just said a high percentage live in a house with a dog or could have contact with a dog. They could have said 100% of them have drunk water or been in or near a car! They could have said a high proportion have eaten chips or chicken nuggets.

At the bottom of the article is a list of the top theories. Dogs don't even figure in them.

"What are the top theories?

Co-infection
Experts say the cases may be linked to adenovirus, commonly associated with colds, but further research is ongoing. This, in combination with Covid infections, could be causing the spike in cases.
The WHO reported adenovirus has been detected in at least 74 of the cases. At least 20 of the children tested positive for the coronavirus.

Weakened immunity
British experts tasked with investigating the spate of illnesses believe the endless cycle of lockdowns may have played a contributing role. Restrictions may have weakened children's immunity because of reduced social mixing, leaving them at heightened risk of adenovirus. This means even 'normal' adenovirus could be causing the severe outcomes, because children are not responding to it how they did in the past.

Adenovirus mutation
Other scientists said it may have been the adenovirus that has acquired 'unusual mutations'.
This would mean it could be more transmissible or better able to get around children's natural immunity.

New Covid variant
UKHSA officials included 'a new variant of SARS-CoV-2' in their working hypotheses. Covid has caused liver inflammation in very rare cases during the pandemic, although these have been across all ages rather than isolated in children.

Environmental triggers
The UKHSA has noted environmental triggers are still being probed as possible causes of the illnesses. These could include pollution or exposure to particular drugs or toxins".

It would be interesting if any of the other countries have found this link,
I know for a fact that a many people keep dogs thankfully not in our area.
So if they like dogs as much as the UK, we will soon find out.
Dogs or not we need to know and the percentage of 70% is very very high taking into consideration
the number of households that own a dog. For sure it may defo be a dog connection especially those that are already vulnerable children ie generally weakness in the immune system or not properly developed in the under 5's becuse of covid lockdowns and less mixing.

Dogs? Almost as far fetched as suggesting the covid ‘vaccine’ ...... which nobody is, of course.

Do your homework if you are going to quote statistics. 34% of the population own dogs and that was in 2019. That would mean statistically that 14 people in your close would own one. Dog ownership went up astronomically during lockdown. As for those that had been 'exposed' to a dog, that will be the non-dog owning neighbours! As I said, if they wanted another headline to reel mugs like you in, they could have just said "all kids with this disease have drunk water".

To hypothesize a "link" you have to show a causation mechanism as well as correlation. Otherwise you're pissing in the wind.
They could just as well have one left handed parent or live near a G5 mast.

Now buɡɡer off.

“In fact, a lot of the cases of hepatitis that we are getting nowadays are because of our high fat diet; that injures the liver as well,” said Stamataki.

More garbage from the press.

The truth of the matter is, like covid - the adenovirus came from bats.
Because the kids watched lots of batman on TV they had the virus transmitted into them and it was woken up by a stray 5G deathray from a transmitter that they passed while in the chelsea tractors.

Totally agree, unfortunately there are plenty of muppets out there prepared to listen to any conspiracy theories and ridiculous conclusions .

So you know the answer do you or are you a "muppet" and where is your evidence that the DM is posting a "conspiracy theory" or do you think everything you disagree with is a 'conspiracy theory"???

Are you saying that the 70% figure should be ignored or further investigated? Don't forget, only "muppets" millions have read the DM and the other press and new re this item

Post what part of my post is a "conspiracy theory"????????
