High water pressure, but barely any flow at one tap only

Moved into a house recently and the upstairs bathroom tap (only) is merely a dribble. The bath next to the sink has good flow as do other taps in the house.

Combi boiler mains fed water.

It's a waterfall style mixer, does not have aerator.

Replacing cartridge has not made any difference.

When the cartridge is removed and I turn on the water, the water flow is plentiful, when the cartridge and tap head is fitted again, back to a dribble.

Could this be due to the wrong tap being installed (and if so, what type would I need?).

Thank you!

I just noticed there was a middle part in the tap below the cartridge, gave that a clean and water flow is now better. Live and learn.
