what size/diameter hole saw would be used for connecting tank connectors to a plastic tank: 15mm connector
22mm "
28mm "

why not get a "select a blade " hole saw, then test it on something first

i mean a saw like

Save yourself the money and just heat a piece of 15mm pipe and melt it through tank and give it a wiggle till hole right size for tank connector then clean of the burr round the hole before fitting connector

Save the wiggle and use the next size up; ie 22mm for a 15mm fitting hole etc. Some "experts" frown on this method but I don't know why. In most cases they claim that the material will be damaged , but they often - like all too may plumbers, want to lay down the law without knowing what they're talking about. So I don't automatically trust them!

As far as I know the materials are thermoplastic so aren't damaged by heating and cooling. And using the "melting" method does avoid horrid saw chippings in the water which always block float operated valves...
