Hi. I would like to update my current Honeywell ST699B programmer with one that gives independent control of the hot water from the C/H. Can anyone advise if the Honeywell 2 channel ST9400A is a suitable and straight forward replacement? Thanks

The ST9400A would indeed be a suitable replacement - changeover should be straightforward as long as you can follow Honeywell's detailed and clear instructions for wiring the new backplate that will be required.

An even better choice to my way of thinking would be the ST9400C, which allows 7-day programming (you can set DHW and CH on/off times independently for each day of the week; to suit your lifestyle).

Good luck!

I to am after changing the st699 to a st944.
This is on a Rayburn 480 kB, have attached photos of the wiring on the 699.
Any help much appreciated

Hijacked a nigh on 10 year old thread. Anyhow, I presume you mean ST400? If yes, the wiring should be straightforward.
