I am looking at buying Honeywell RF heating controls, Pack 3 (with cylinder stat and room stat.
It states in the manual that the receiver unit has contacts rated at 3amp, whilst my oil boiler is fused at 5amp. There seems to be a conflict here, but I have used Honeywell programmers for years with no blown fuses or burn outs?

Just thought:

If you mean the fuse in the consumer unit is 5A, that doesn't matter but you should have a 3A fuse in the switch which controls the heating system.

Generally domestic boilers are protected by 3A fuses, not all are but the majority. So really would depend on the boiler, to the fuse rating required.

True - but, in reality, I imagine that most domestic heating systems (boiler + pump + controls) would probably work quite happily with a 1A fuse!

Kind Regards, John
