I have a Hoover 1400AA.. Model HSW 146 which works ok on any cycle but the fault is it will not take the fabric conditioner. It is cold fill only, and both cold valves look to be working, the holes are clear to let the water go onto the fabric conditioner, the soap is taken no problem. I am unable to work out how the water gets to come out on top of the fabric conditioner. There is no 3rd valve and no mechanical way that I can see to do it.
