new on here today so am desperately hoping some one can help.
I have an elderly Hoover 1100 washing machine (not sure how old but 10+ years), went to use it this morning, loaded medium size wash and closed the door, but the screen hasn't changed from a dot to a zero to allow me to programme it.
I have cleaned all around the door and seal, and the catch - the door is definitely shut, but I cannot programme it and then start it.
I'm not sure that I need a new one yet, but calling out an engineer without knowing what to tell him could be expensive.
so any ideas on what may be wrong so I can tell him with some accuracy and ensure he brings the right parts - please?
