Hi everyone.
I have a Hoover Optima OPH147 washing machine that has developed a fault. Mid-way through the cycle it stops and the cold wash light flashes (I haven't selected the cold wash function). Does anyone know what I can do to work out the fault? I am guessing that the flashing is a fault code but can't find a listing anywhere!
Any help would be very welcome.
Thanks.

The "flashing light" is an error code. Count the repeating sequence & post it here....

Heating issue.
Pull the plug, take off the rear cover & check wiring to the element is intact. Measure the element & NTC with a multimeter.
Heater should be around 26 ohms, NTC probably around 4-6 kohms with a rapidly decreasing resistance when warmed.

Hi Zipper
Just wanted to say thanks for the advice. Got new parts, fitted them and everything has been working for two weeks now!!!!
Cheers again
