I have a 4 year old Hoover Optima 614 washing machine which is failing to complete the washing cycle most of the time and the cold wash light flashes 5 times. I understand that this indicates a fault with the Temperature Sensor but, before I order a replacement, I would like to be able to confirm that the part is faulty (and that it is not another part of the circuit). I have spoken to Hoover who are unable to give me the Part Number of tell me how I can check the existing part with a multimeter although they can sell me a new sensor. It would be very much appreciated if is anyone able to tell me how I can check the sensor to confirm that the sensor that it is faulty before I order a replacement.
