Hi,
Can anyone help.
I need to know if my washing machine is worth the effort to fix.
Some of the lights are lighting up and its making a strange noise even thou its not in use.
The power light flashes rapidly and lights 1, 3 and 4 flash at a slower speed.
Many thanks in advance.
Kevin.

F11 FAULT

sounds like fault F11 which is pump/draining problem.

Has the machine got a drain filter which you can check? it may be blocked. is there standing water in the machine drum?

it appears the wd420 has a filter inside the lower sump hose:

From hotpoint help site:

The filter is to be found at the rear of the washer.
Remove lower rear panel of washer, remove large black hose fastened to bottom of tub.
Watch out for water running out.
Remove plastic`filter inside hose and clean.
Refit filter and hose.

Hi,
Thanks for your help.
Tonight I removed the filter and found a 50p, 20p, 1p, bit of plastic and 2x plastic buttons.
Not forgetting the padding out of a bra which was totally blocking the filter.
So everything cleaned out and put back together and would you believe it, the buggers still no working.
Its still coming up with the same flashing lights etc.
Is there a way to reset it so that it realises the blockage is gone?
Also it seems to making a strange noise like its trying to pump water out when the lights are flashing!
Plus in the few seconds before the lights start flashing the door locked light is on but you can open the door. Is this related?
Cheers for your help.
