We currently have a crappy little electric tank thing with a tap and spout above the kitchen sink. You switch it on and it makes a few litres of near boiling water - all a bit basic and runs out very quickly. So it's too hot (I know we could turn the temperature down a bit but that just gives the same amount of cooler water) and there's not enough of it.
What we want is something to replace it that will give us a longer lasting and more user friendly (ideally something supplying the currently redundant hot tap on the sink) supply of washing up temperature water. In addition to normal dish washing it's all the cubs "cooking" and craft stuff - glue, paint, muddy stuff etc that needs washing under a running tap and not in a sink of water.
The hut is used for less than 10 hrs a week and the hot water is probably needed for 2 x 20 minute periods within that.
There is a 13amp supply next to the sink or the CU is within a few metres so we could upgrade the supply if necessary.
I would appreciate recommendations. I don't know whether a better version of what we have now i.e. with a bigger tank and maybe a timer is best or an instantaneous?
Within reason the cost isn't that much of an issue but something with no/low ongoing maintenance/inspection costs would be best.
And finally, plumber or electrician? I have a tame electrician who has fitted electric showers etc so I presume he could do it.
Thanks
