We have had our washing machine 10 years and it has served us well. Last 3 washes the spin cycle has been extremely noisy. What may have gone wrong?

It could be the motor, but my money is on worn drum bearings.

A good repairer can do this reliably and fairly quickly, but it's not really a DIY job.
