i have a hotpoint washing machine that is flooding the kitchen regularly.what happens is water is coming through the door were you put the softener/powder.it happens halfway through a wash cycle when water is filling the drum via inlet valve.i have had the drain pump checked and cleaned.the filter cleaned and all pipes cleaned as well.can anyone help.

so you are saying water is coming out via the soap drawer? take it out (pull out and lift slightly) then clean all that you can now see (including soap drawer
thanx for replies. i took out soap drawer and also holder.seemed to be a blockage in holder were water comes from inlet valve to soap drawer.there are 3 small holes in upper part (2 cold, 1 hot)were water is channeled or directed into soap drawer.also found dirt in green softener dispenser(2 small pipes) which maybe not the cause,but cleaned anyway.also noticed with holder removed you can see outer part of drum through dispenser hole.this seems clogged with dirt but is difficult to clean.anyway it has been running ok since so i am hopeful.thanx for info.Sponsored Links

we could have told you that. trouble is you neglected to say the m/c kept on filling, the way you posted it appeared to be coming out of the draw just as it fills, not that it keeps on filling and doesnt stop, which is what you should have said.
