Hotpoint Aquarius 1400 SPIN. Can`t get top off !!!!

Due to a very loud noise during spin cycle I thought I would look on this board for help. There has been a previous topic which seems similar to my problem. Unfortunately due to my total lack of technicality I can`t even get the top off to have a look. I have taken out a couple of screws at the back, but the front seems to be secured by something else. I dont want to be too forcefull in case I damage the front facing. I imagine this will reasonably easy to someone who knows what they are doing. Please help.

when you have taken the securing screws from the back hold it up very slightly not putting a lott of pressure on the front of the lid and with the palm of your hand knock the lid firmly frontwards.
this will push it out of the lugs turn it over and look at the securing design and you will see how its secured.
