The on/off switch is flashing together with the rinse hold light. Does anyone know what code this is and/ or what it means? I've emptied out the filter/ball thingy under the bottom of the drum, coins, hairgrips, elastoplast you name it !! It now seems to pump out OK but the drum doesn't turn, and seems very stiff when I try to turn it. Help, the washing's piling up !!

Many thanks for this link, the code was motor jammed/tacho. Took off belt, and the drum turned fine, but the motor is completely jammed. Took motor apart and the bearing at the tacho end has collapsed, making a mess of the tacho in the process. Have sourced a newish motor for £50 (second hand) which is a lot better than the £110 Hotpoint wanted for a new one!
