Hotpoint BWM12 not starting.

I have a problem with my Hotpoint Bwm12.
I turn the machine on and select a program and the mains light comes on and the door locks(door lock light comes on) and then nothing else happens.
I've tried turning it off and unplugging it at the mains but when i switch it back on the same problem occurs.
Any help would be really appreciated.

Motor brushes worn need replacing

I changed the brushes and now it works perfectly.
