Hotpoint Dishwasher (DF31A) Timing control sticking?

Hotpoint Aquarius Ultima DF31A

The timer control occasionally sticks and requires a nudge to start revolving again.

Have tried removing door panel but am unsure how to remove rotary knobs - do they just pull off?

Have not tried this yet for fear of breaking something else!

Can anyone shed some light on this for me?

ease out with a blunt instrument

clean the black tube underneath that goes from sump to matrix ,tip it back all will be revealed ,
