Hotpoint ultimate RPD10457J not switching on

I have a Hotpoint Ultima S-line RPD-10457J which is not switching on. I have checked the manual and it just says to change the fuse, which I have done but it is still not working. Has anyone any clues as to what is wrong before I report to calling in a technician please. I’m a pensioner so wish to avoid expensive repairs. Thank you.

Have you tried plugging it into a different socket & will something else (perhaps a kettle) plugged into the washer socket work?

If the kettle worked OK then you have ruled out a supply problem. Unless you have a multimeter & are competent to use it then sorry there is not much else you can do yourself.

Thank you, I have checked “Nextdoor” website and there is one technician who is highly recommended by lots of people so I am going to call him.

Maybe the internal fuse has blown, on the PCB - it might be just old age, or blown due to fault.

Thank you, I don’t think that would be something I could undertake so will ring a professional. At least I know what it could be.
