so I’ve got this 18 month old washer dryer that shows f08 fault code on a normal wash cycle. ive had the back off and checked all the connections etc. I know what the code relates to but Was wondering if the water heater doubles as the dryer heater or if they are two seperate things???.

As far as I remember there are separate heaters & separate relays & F08 is a problem with the water heater relay. But you don't give a model number so that may not be 100%. accurate.

Have you checked the water heater element, that will give you F08.
