To give the full run down , the PCB was replaced by Hotpoint in June 2012 and until now it has worked fine. I decided to wash a woolen jacket, on the wool setting and when I returned there were several lights flashing.
No.1,2 & 4 plus the on/off. I gather that this is an F13 fault and means a Dryer NTC/ Fan Motor which is strange since I didn't programme this option. I have checked the sump and blown down the fill valve pipe with no success...Is it the PCB AGAIN......any help appreciated

Does the fan go round on the dryer does it get hot. If yes then pcb has failed again.

Hi rocks1, I was hoping you would be around......
The thing is, I never programmed for fan or heater or drying....I never do to be honest. I think i know my way around BUT how do i check the fan?

Cheers

Put your finger on the spindle of the fan , on top of the heater box you should feel it turning. The pcb checks the circuits on everything regardless weather you use it or not.

Thanks for that....I need to leave it for a while (Mothers Day) but will get back to it in a couple of hours and update you........Cheers

You're the man........I had actually had the top off before and not noticed anything wrong. This time after locating the fan motor, I checked the resistance before splitting the heater box, about 48 ohms. Before I split the box I noticed a small plug with two blue wires hanging almost out of sight and a round black (is it the heater element?) socket that was empty. Of course replace one in the other and Hey Presto......Without you I would probably have not found it so many many thanks.....

That's the thermistor. Just the wire block has come off. Job done.
