Hotpoint WD61 hot water valve change

I've just changed the hot water valve on my aquarius WD61 (it was leaking). Having fitted the new part - seemed pretty straightfaorwrd - there now appears to be no hot water getting to the detergent drawer. Anyone know if I may have missed anything?

have you turned the water back on ,ie is the red lever on the pipe just turning round .

Yep, hot water is back on. Tried swapping back to the old valve but still left with a lot of powder in the drawer after a cycle. I'm puzzled!....

hot water presure very low, also tilt mc back by unwinding the front feet so water runs to the back and takes powder with it .
