Hotpoint WM538 not draining

Hi,

I'm hoping someone can help me. My washing machine is full of water & will not drain. It is a Hotpoint Aquarius Extra WM538 1200 Spin. I've read about a possible blocked pump but not sure how to clear the blockage. Incidentally, it is not fitted to under the sink if that helps any. Thanks in advance for any advice.
