Today I have been changing the bearing on our washing machine.
Everything back together (just one small washer left over!), plug in, switch on and set programme. Everything looks normal except Door Lock light is on from the start.
Press the start button, the "Rinse and Spin" and "Final Spin" lights go off and she starts to fill up, but there is also a strange slight groaning noise in the background. Having taken a fill of water there is a click and the two Spin lights come back on, and that it is it! No more will she do!
Sounds to me as though the motor is not turning, though the drum turns freely by hand. Yes, I have put the belt back on.
Has anyone any ideas what might be the problem here?
Am going back to check things over again, but if anyone can point me in the right direction I would be SO grateful!!
