hotpoint won't do anything

hi i have a hotpoint aquqaris wd420, that just won't do anything.It was working fine and then i went to put on a new load and it does nothing, expect to **** in some water for a second and then stop. i cleaned the filter and can see no burning on any of the boards or connections. and no warning signs or flashing lights.
can anyone help

I never said bushings ??? It's brushes, they are found on the motor plenty of vids on you tube shows you how to replace them and cheap.
