hotpoint WT741 error code 'door'

Hi, my hotpoint WT741 will not recognise that the door is closed so therefore will not proceed with a wash. Is this something I can fix at home if purchasing the correct parts? I really do not want to have to pay expensive call out charges if this could be an easy fix. With four children, my washing is mounting up fast so need some advice quickly, Many thanks

Does the handle feel floppy. If yes handle broken if no check connections on pcb and make sure wires are attached to door lock.
