Hi,
Im currently buying a house and it turns out it has Japanese Knotweed. The solicitor is concerned about it. Is this a show-stopper? How much would it be to get rid of it? Would it devalue the cost of the house when I come to sell (even if it is completely eradicated)? What damage does it do?
Thanks

Google is your friend.....

Japanese knotweed is potentially a show stopper as you may not be able to get a mortgage now that the solictor knows that the property has a knotweed problem.

I'd get a more professional opinion, just in case. If your fist opinion was correct, then you're about to get donald ducked.
