Hi Everyone. I need help, first of all how do you call this column on the Victorian houses.
Also it's crumbling. How can I fix it? The quick mortar people use for window sill repair would be good? How can I 'clean' or stabilise the old bit? Probably limestone....

You need an artist. For DIY, the 2 part wood fillers are the easiest to shape through sanding. I filled a void between concrete and wood using the 2 part and it seems to be ok. This might not work if your pillar is load bearing.
