How do builders run cables in closed panel timber frames?

My house was an open panel build- after erection, the insulation and cabling all went in before the vapour barrier and plasterboard went on. How does it work in closed panels? I can't imagine that there are joints in all the circuits to accomodate corners etc???

Just wondering.
