how do i fit this pneumatic toilet push button?

hi

i cant figure out how to fit this push button into the existing hole. the original one was broken when we moved in (the disc that you push was missing) so we have sourced a new one.

Its called DUD Cone Push Button aka Rolo Push Button. It doesnt appear to come apart at all and the external part is too big to fit through the hole.

Any ideas?

are you sure the silver bit doesnt screw off?

the silver cone screws down but only as far as the push disc, it all seems to be integral. the push disc part appears glued to the flush mechanism part (that sits behind the wall). ive tried brute force but it wont come apart and i dont want to break it as it cost me £40.

the old one came off only because the push disc was already broken off so the cone part could be unscrewed.

does that make sense? difficult to explain in words!
