Eton - Boyz in their hood !
"...LOUIS XIV’S FINANCE minister, Jean-Baptiste Colbert, famously declared that “the art of taxation consists in so plucking the goose as to obtain the largest possible amount of feathers with the smallest possible amount of hissing.”..."

We Brits would like to hiss but obviously spend too much time on the **** !

An update on FloodRE, Is this a licence to fleece prudent home buyers cum purchasers of Buildings and if separately purchased Contents Insurance? Jokingly £10.50 + 9.6% tax will be added to both purchases, they say - or will it ? Funny that, Boris chose that figure for his prospective ultra clean zone charge - I think that has increased somewhat, inflation? What inflation? Must be a Tory think tank deciding £10.50 sounds cheap.

Paul Lewis seems to have a finger on FRE :-

Have you noticed that houses which get flooded are near rivers or on low-lying land?

BUY ONE UP A HILL.

Will they arrange funds for houses that are now on the edge of a cliff and in danger of falling?

They'll only arrange anything if they are allowed to fleece all their customers.
The FloodRE extra cost, apparently, will not be shown separately on Insurance billing.
There is complexity within the system, insurance 'insiders' will be overseeing the scheme - to the benefit of whom? No prizes for guessing.

I could have told the builders that this location was prone to flooding:
