The doors has already been dipped and painted with acrylic paint so dip and strip won't take them. They say acrylic paint won't come off and notromors won't work either. How do I get the paint off?

Yeah I suppose thats the only option but we want to varnish the doors so I guess I'll have to be careful and not burn the door........I can feel another post on the disasters area may be forthcoming.

Heat gun won't work. Sanding is the only real option.

I didn't mean a blow-torch. They do burn doors but heat guns just blow out very hot air. It's a shame if one won't work on acrylic. Do you know why this is, Joe?

Acrylic isn't based on an alkyd resin so it doesn't melt.
