Hi All,

Wonder if anyone can help,
we had a dormer added to out bungalow a few years back and i want to insulate the uninsulated
part of the roof space, but im not sure how far to go with it. I have looked but cant seem to suss it out.

Have added a photo, its where the red arrows are that i'm unsure whether i should insulate, should i leave these as is, or put in some rockwool in?

Any ideas? cheers Jim

Blue definitely, red you need to investigate a bit further, you should aim to insulate to the outside of the wall cavity but need to be careful not to block any eaves ventilation. If space is tight then celotex has the best performance vs thickness.

Thanks for the advice cdbe,
I'll have a closer look, its a bit tricky to see down there so i'll have a good poke about. I've got some spare celotex that sounds like a great plan,
Thanks again for taking the time to reply, I really appreciate it.

cheers Jim
