Fox & Friends preview an interview with Rick Perry, where he says that Trump is "the chosen one" and "sent by God to do great things" Pete Hegseth: "God has used imperfect people forever," but what Trump "has withstood is unlike what really any other mortal could understand"

Now how long before we start to deify Boris.(y)

Before you did that, you’d have to renounce Notchy, Lally and Johnny D.

It is really sad.

They only say such things because they know a large proportion of the public will believe them.

There is a happy middle ground between Boris and Corbyn - but like the US we are careering towards extreme politics.

It doesn't help the economy to lurch from one extreme to the next. Boris manifesto is a joke in terms of investment - he must have Sajid Javid as chancellor if he thinks consumption will sustain growth - ohh wait on he does. Corbyn is promising too much but he will fail deliver most of his pledges but at least he is putting Investment at the heart of growth.

Don't forget that the UK head of state is said to be there by divine right - so not much different.

These people know a huge proportion of the electorate are mugs and will believe it.

If only the mugs knew it, they wouldn't stand a chance.

Adam Curtis deserves an Oscar for his work.

Aldous Huxley and George Orwell are possibly the most prescient of SF writers.
