I'm asking this question to promt a discussion.
Had this same discussion with a customer..... not so much a new condenser but an existing boiler. The customer in question would not except that after 14yrs I was suggesting it maybe time to replace her Lynx. A mexico/kingfisher or diplomat (I could go on) was good for, in many cases in excess of 25yrs.
But boilers of today will never last anything like that long.
If you compare a CH Boiler to another household appliance (Fridge?, Washing Machine?) then nobody expects them to last more than about 5/6yrs. I think customers need to understand that the Condensing Boiler fitted tomorrow may not last 10/12yrs
Any thoughts....from both engineers and consumers
Well thats my lot.... I'll return to being depressed and watch Eastenders
