Hi,

I have a lovely old wall surrounding my garden . The wall rises from 4 ft to 6ft at the side of the house by way of a curve and I want to retain the features as much as possible

To increase privacy and to provide something for climbers to grow up I want to put a 2ft trellis on top of the 4 ft section (as shown in drawing). I would like to cut the trellis to match the curve (shown in green), to make sure it looks neat and remains strong id like to replace the frame (front and back) so it looks like the other edges of the trellis.

the trellis im using is shown here http://www.crestalafencing.co.uk/nv=6/trellis.html: Its the Crestala Square Trellis - Standard Panels they will be 2ft high rather that 1ft as shown in the pictures http://www.crestalafencing.co.uk/nv=6/trellis.html

Does anyone have any suggestions on how this can best be achieved? Should I scribe the curve onto some sheet material or could I potentially bend two piece of wood to use as the frame? If so what type of wood/ sheet wood, would people recommend?

Cheers for all your help

Chris

Personally, I would probably cut it out of an offcut of marine ply then stain it all the same colour. Or I suppose you could experiment with steaming a spare strip of trellis.
