We have just had new kitchen put in and will be having it re-tiled shortly but after taking tiles off the wall, there is quite a large gap around the edge of the cooker socket.

Our tiler has suggested we fill it before he tiles the wall as the tiles will need a surface to stick to (sorry for the amateur language!)

Any ideas how we do this and what do we use?

I've found that "lightweight" filler is ideal for these sort of jobs, as you can fill to a deep depth, without slumping.

Red Devil is the original, but I've used travis perkins own brand & had no problems with it.

Good Luck!
