Hi All,

I have an ESI ESRTP4RF+ controller and a new WB Greenstar 30Kw Combi Boiler.

The issue I seem to have is that the controller is a 5 wire system (LNE + two control wires) and the boiler is a 4 wire system (LNE + RT)

I have tried the (grey) control wire in positions 1 & 2 with the same result.

Wiring inside boiler.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Wilson.

The link between Ls and Lr is removed as per the diagram you posted.

Boiler Terminal Ls (Live supply) goes to ESI L and also is linked to 1 COM
Boiler Terminal Lr (Live return) goes to ESI 2 N/O
Boiler Terminal N goes to ESI N

and the boiler is not running.

:(

Is there a timeswitch somewhere? Perhaps an integral part of the boiler? If so that would need to be set to be permanently 'on' 24/7

I assume that the thermostat is set so that the heating should be on, which I guess is what the flame symbol represents. Sorry I've no idea of how it's programmed. If you press the manual button on the receiver does it come on?

I believe that the M/A showing red means that it is not being switched on by the thermostat. When the thermostat switches the receiver on, I would expect M/A to go green.

Sorry.. me being a tw@t.

In order to shut the boiler down cleanly, rather than just whack the mains off, I turned the heating off first.

Turned it back up & et voila! Boiler turns on.

The M/A light is still red but I no longer care :)

Thanks for all your help!

Cheers,

Wilson.
