Please does anyone know how to do this as I am sick of my porch letting in water! Thanks to anyone with ideas suggestions

I take it you mean on top of your roof, then make a groove into the wall with a angle grinder approx 50mm parallel above the roof and knock off the sharp stone below, put in approx 150mm lead flashing from the groove to above roof, then get a render stop & screw into the top of the lead flashing, then make good with sand/cement onto the render stop to the wall, finish off with stone to match your peddledash. No more leaks :!:

Thanks very much Masona, I'll have to get an angle grinder from somewhere, or hire someone who has one. At least I'll be able to check what they do is OK now! I preume the screw frinto the wall won't make a leak?

What you need is a non-rust wide washer + screw into the wire mesh of the render stop then make goods with sand/cement.The screw /washer will be hidden in the sand/cement.
