Hi , we have a tap that is leaking from a joint near the top when the tap is turned on full. See picture. Any advice on how to access this part of the tap to check if there is a washer that needs replacing.
Is it being used within the water pressure range specified by the manufacturers? If so you might be able to prise off the top and check that the rubber seal/washer is correctly seated and not worn. But you risk damaging it further, and a replacement may be non standard. It would be worth getting hold of a parts list from the supplier/manufacturer if one exists.
They only seem to publish a minimum pressure requirement no max.. But they have a 5 year warranty if that helps. I would think that the little finial at the top might unscrew to allow the spout to be removed
