Anyone know the best way to get rid of this carpet stain? Don’t know what’s caused it ‍

I am going to hire a carpet cleaner but want to sort this out first

Wool or synthetic carpet ? Simple warm soap water will shift lots of stains.Or a carpet spotting cleaner .

Yes , best make a soap froth and rub in rather than wetting carpet .
