How to link to a post

I can link to a thread, like this:

but how do I find the address for an individual post, like the ones in the list at the top of the FAQ list that like one takes you to, eg

http://www.diynot.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=243114#243114

If you look to where it says "Posted: Sat 16 Aug, 2008 4:44 pm" etc at the top of the post you can see a little white or orange icon to the left of it.
If you click on this the address of the post is displayed in your browser address box.
