How to rejuvenate upvc frames?

UPVC cleaning - done!

I tried car shampoo and a soft brush but in the end, I needed the Cif. I used a non abrasive scourer sponge and had to put some elbow grease into it.

See this photo, I've circled around areas that had some mottling effect. With vigorous scrubbing I've managed to erase all that wherever I noticed it around the frames. So then I rinsed, went over any bits that needed a bit more scrubbing, rinsed and dried with a microfibre cloth. I did all three sides of the bay window. Only took about an hour or so.

I've done all my masonry filling where there were small cracks and craters. The window panes need washing next. Think I'll clean them tomorrow before I begin the masonry painting.

Washed the glass today. Good fun using the squeegee. I learnt about always having the leading top edge angled forward which lets the water trail drip down instead of leaving a line of water behind on the glass. I think I could make a living cleaning windows.:D
